Justice or Revenge

There are many injustices that exist in this godforsaken world. It almost seems as if we are all helpless to the actions of heartless people who only live to hurt others. Most days I feel so powerless and full of distress. I wish I could do more... I try harder and harder each day to make myself a better person; To help others, especially those who can't defend themselves. Life is really difficult for me. Not because I don't have money, not because I don't have good health or family and friends, but because I truly care. Having feelings can be painful sometimes and I do understand why some people choose to be numb. The bad thing about being numb is that you are not really living. A life without feelings is not life at all. All the evils of this world infuriate me and make me feel an almost uncontrollable rage. This fire inside me keeps growing as each day comes to an end. Things are becoming more personal and one idea bounces through my head... REVENGE! I often think to myself... " If I ever find this person who did this wrong, I will kill them." Strong words you may think, but these immoral people full of decadence deserve nothing less. I stop myself, and ask " Are they really worth staining my hands; staining my mind, heart and soul?" That would make me just as wrong and evil. Two wrongs do not make a right. We all have dark desires urging for vengeance. We would not be human but a statue if we didn't feel them. What draws the line between good and evil is the choice not to act on them. What I want more than anything is justice for what these animals did and keep doing to my good people; for what they did to my children, my brothers and sisters, my mothers and fathers and to all the good women and men in this world.

Wolves

Be careful; There are wolves in the world. Wolves I tell you. Today more than ever the existence of evil is inordinate. Many people full of cupidity, hate, and distress do things that are inhumane. Decadence is everywhere. A few days ago I saw the movie "Trade" for the second time. The film is highly impacting and exposes one of today's most atrocious crimes: Human trafficking. "Human trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing criminal industry in the world. Victims experience a loss of freedom and exploitation at the hands of their traffickers who buy and sell them in pursuit of profit. As a result, human trafficking is commonly known as modern-day slavery.
In human trafficking situations, traffickers gain complete control over victims and force them into the labor, services, or commercial sex industry in order to generate profit from their labor and commercial sex acts. Some of the forms of violence traffickers use to control their victims include brutal beatings, rape, lies and deception, threats of serious harm or familial harm, and psychological abuse." (http://actioncenter.polarisproject.org/learn/human-trafficking-101) There are more slaves today than at any point in history. The first time I heard that I was in disbelief. That is very alarming. We need to do something to help end Human trafficking, along with the many crimes and injustices that occur today. Many people have no idea of the dangers that exist around them. 7 out of 10 people who I have spoken to about human trafficking did not even know what it was, nor that it exist. It is never to late to bring about change and help educate for a much better future.

A Life Of Addiction

Today I am feeling overwhelmed with the mistakes I have made in my life. So overwhelmed that its making me sick. That's what happens when your psychology affects your biology. It's as if the mistakes never desist and always come back to haunt me. The only thing I want is to sleep in peace when day is done. When you are young, you feel invincible, and you do many crazy things; many stupid things: Drugs, alcohol, wasting money, getting in debt. All are part of the situation; but it seems as if that is the true American culture. That's the way society here is... most of the time. We all make mistakes. Sometimes we make the right decisions but sometimes we also make the wrong ones; although that may not be true according to a good friend. He once told me, "There is no right or wrong; just the consequences of our actions." That proves correct in all aspects of my life... I still feel consumed by society. Consumed by "The" American life. The addictions become harder and harder to break. The deeper you are in, the more difficult it is to return. I need help. Many of us need help; to break these addictions. Education is the key to fighting these addictions and preventing more and more people from falling into them. I feel that if I was better educated during my teen years by my family, and by the education system, that things would have been much different in a positive manner. I do not know what the future holds for me. I am not sure if things will get better. What I do know is that I can help others not make the same mistakes many of us have made. Whats done is done and in this life, you cannot go back, only forward.

Look Beyond

It seems that most of us only see what we want to see. We only care about what benefits us the most as an individual and forget about others who are around us. People ignore the things that matter most. We need to open our eyes and look at what is happening around us. Most of us have blinders on and only look in one direction. Others are brainwashed by the media and other sources and only see what they want us to see. There are many problems occurring around us and we cannot pretend that they do not occur. Ignorance is not an excuse. Just because we choose to ignore these difficult situations doesn't mean that they will go away or that they do not exist. Look beyond whats right in front of you and make a difference. Do something and impact others. Please click the link and watch this video.

There Is More To Life

Society today has taught us quite well to live a life full of monotony. Most Americans wake up everyday, go to work for 8 to 12 hours, and then come home to do it all over again the next day. Some of us do not really have a choice because of the circumstances we encounter. Many have a family to provide to, others do it for basic survival or for what ever obligations they may have. One thing I do know is that there are few who wake up to go work on something they enjoy; Something more meaningful than a paycheck. It is sad to see how many of us drown ourselves in a meaningless life full of monotony; In a life that has no true meaning. There is more to life than working for a paycheck day by day, week by week, month by month or year by year; I'm sure you get the point. There is good news to all of this; people have the ability to change. You can keep living your life as you are, doing the same things over and over or you can do something about it. Change your life and do something that makes you happy. Even if its just one small thing a day. Life is too short to live unhappy and happiness does not come true by wishing on a star. That's not the way life works anyways.
